The Department of BCA, established in academic Year 2007-08 has been offering the UG program to provide students with in-depth knowledge of current techniques, skills in computer Application and Provide High quality of education in Computer applications.

This programme will enable the students to gain broad knowledge in core areas, proficiency in analysis and synthesis of solutions for application development. Establish a solid foundation in computer basics.

It is a three-year long program and has been specifically designed for aspirants looking for a career in computers. The course covers all aspects of computers right from the basic fundamentals of computers to database systems and courses like C, C++, C#, ASP .NET, Java, python, PHP, R Programming etc.

Objectives:
- Developing basic programming skills to build utility programs
- Providing a foundation for higher studies in computer applications
- Providing a strong foundation in computer fundamentals
- Preparing students with exceptional problem solving, communication, and leadership skills.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES:

PO1: Understand the fundamental concepts of computers, software hardware and peripheral devices and evolution of computer technologies.

PO2: Gain knowledge to identify, explain and apply functional programming and object-oriented programming techniques and use of databases to develop computer programs.

PO3: Understand the front end and backend of software applications.

PO4 : Acquire technical skills to lead a productive life in the society as a professional or as an entrepreneur

PO5 : Acquire knowledge about computer networks, network devices and their configuration protocols, security concepts at various level etc.

PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOME:

PSO1: At the end of the program students understand, analyze and develop computer programs in the areas like Web Design, Database manipulation & Mobile Application.

PSO2: At the end of the program students understand, object-oriented programming features through various programming languages.

PSO3: At the end of the program students are able to create dynamic, Interactive webpage’s using various web technologies

PSO4: At the end of the program students understand the use of structured query language and its syntax, transactions, database recovery and techniques for query optimization.
